NETGEAR IS TRIPLE HONOREE FOR CES 2017 INNOVATION AWARDS

Nighthawk X10 Smart WiFi Router named Best of Innovation Awards; Orbi Tri-band WiFi System and Arlo Pro Wire-Free HD Security Camera also garner honors

SAN JOSE, California, — November 10, 2016 — NETGEAR®, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTGR), the leading provider of networking devices that power today’s smart home, announced that it has been named a CES® 2017 Best of Innovation Awards Honoree for its Nighthawk® X10 Smart WiFi Router. Netgear is also an honoree for its Orbi™ WiFi System and its Arlo™ Pro Wire-Free HD Security Camera. These three Netgear honorees are on display today at CES Unveiled New York and will be featured at CES 2017, which runs January 5-8 in Las Vegas.

Sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) TM, the producer of CES 2017, the prestigious Innovation Awards have been recognizing outstanding achievements in product design and engineering since 1976. Products chosen as CES Innovation Honorees reflect innovative design and engineering in cutting-edge consumer electronics products and services across 28 product categories.

“Product innovation is our core mission so we’re thrilled to be recognized again by the CTA for this focus,” said David Henry, senior vice president of home networking products for Netgear. “It’s especially cool that our honorees this year include our debut tri-band mesh networking system, Orbi, along with our latest security camera system, Arlo Pro. The cherry on the sundae is that our Nighthawk X10 router is named a ‘Best of Innovation Awards’ as we believe it truly is the most full-featured and best-engineered router in the market today.”

Award nominees are evaluated on their engineering, aesthetic and design qualities, intended use/function and user value, unique/novel features, and how the design and innovation of the product directly compares to other products in the marketplace. Judging is by a preeminent panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers, and members of the trade media.
